Receiving Oral Sex 23. 5. 2023
Uživatel: Hebda, Téma: Pre- a post-expoziční profylaxe (PrEP, PEP) proti HIV
Hi, I have received a oral sex (only oral without ejacuation) with gay men of unknown HIV status. After 62 hours of explosure, I have started the PEP medication (3 drug combination) for 1 month. I have tested for HIV 1/2, Hep B, Hep C, Syphilles at baseline, 30,60, and 96 days of explosure. All tests are negative and they are 4th generation ag/ab test from the Brno city hospital. I also take HEP C test at 7 months of exposure which came NEGATIVE. But I have elevated liver enzymes for long time. I have mild elevated values until 7 months. Then they came to normal level after 7 months.Again I have elevated values after 2 years . ( ALT is 2.31 and AST is 1.82). Are my tests conclusive?

Hello, oral-genital intercourse can theoretically also lead to HIV transmission in the case of an injury in the mouth or on a genital organ. In practice, however, this mode of HIV transmission is relatively rare. If you have been taking PEP you must be invited for additional HIV testing between 4 and 6 weeks, and at 3 and 6 months after any exposure. So ask for further advice from the place where you were prescribed PEP.
